My Story

It all started back in the spring of 2004. I was a mother of two young children when I decided it was time to go back to school. After weighing out my options, I pursued a degree in nursing. In 2007, pregnant with my third child, I graduated with my nursing degree and became a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Utah. I had no idea how much this would benefit my life at the time. Being a nurse is a privilege. I have gained knowledge, experience and opportunities to learn and grow. I feel it has given me the chance to really make a difference in my community and the world.

So that explains the "Nurse" part of things. As for the magnets, that part came later...

A few years down the road my life was changed again when I discovered the wonder of magnets. I know you are probably thinking, "Aren't those used to hang things on the fridge?" It may sound strange, but magnets have completely changed my life! Now it is my hope to share my experiences, so that others may also benefit as I have.

To understand my experience with magnets, you need a little background. During my high school years, I found myself struggling with extreme fatigue and daytime sleepiness. It seemed that no matter how much I slept, I never felt refreshed.  Although I was a teenager at the time, I tried to get to bed on time and allow my body the rest time it needed. After a full nights sleep, I would awake feeling groggy, tired and completely unrested. For years I struggled with this issue, wondering each day if I could squeeze a nap in somehow. Time passed, and I got married and had children. Being up at night with crying babies only worsened my feelings of sleepiness and exhaustion. Searching for relief I went to many doctors, including a sleep specialist. I underwent sleep studies, and other testing. Ultimately I learned that my thyroid was out of balance, and I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea. Both conditions were treated appropriately, but the fatigue continued. Desperate for a solution, I pursued every medical avenue I could. Nothing seemed to help and the endless feeling of exhaustion continued. I began to give up hope of ever finding a solution.

This feeling continued for about 15 years, until a friend of mine told me about magnets.
When my friend asked me to come to a meeting about "magnets", I have to admit I was a little skeptical. After all, I had been trained in medicine and "practical healing". I went to the meeting (as a favor really), but I will be forever grateful that I did. During the meeting I heard the word energy and suddenly the speaker had my undivided attention. Could magnets really boost my energy levels? I didn't know, but I was determined to find out.

My first purchase was a pair of magnetic insoles to be worn inside your shoe. When I first tried them, it was in the evening after a long day on my feet. Almost instantly my tired, overworked feet began to feel better. I began to wear them religiously after that, and couldn't believe how much better my feet felt. As for my energy levels, I didn't notice a significant change, but I knew there was something to this magnet therapy. From the meeting I was aware that a magnetic sleep system was also sold by this company. In my mind I felt unjustified in making such a purchase, when we could use that money in so many other ways. As a few months went by, I continued to think about the sleep system, and wondered if it could help my energy (or lack thereof). I rationalized with myself that after all the money we had spent on medical testing, medical equipment and medications, I should be willing to spend a little more and give this a try. My husband and I discussed it, and opted to buy the comforter (a portion of the sleep system).

Like a little girl waiting for Christmas morning, I anxiously waited for my package to come. When it did, I immediately put the comforter on our bed and hoped for a miracle. Would I finally feel rested? After only two nights of sleeping under the comforter, I awoke to a completely new feeling. Refreshment! I had almost forgotten what it felt like to wake up feeling like you actually slept. Right away I began my savings to buy the rest of the sleep system.

To this day, I continue to find benefit and relief from my sleep system. I have found a renewed vigor and energy for life, I had not previously possessed. Instead of spending my afternoons in a brain fog, I now find I have the capacity to enjoy life, to be a better wife/mother, and to keep up with all of life's demands. I no longer waste time wishing I could curl up and take a nap.

Another great benefit? No side effects from medications, and no more sleeping with a CPAP mask at night.
